Birdwatching in Ukraine (Lviv region)

Duration: 4 days
Location: Lviv region

The world of Ukrainian birds is rich enough to arouse curiosity of any birdwatcher.

Scientists argue that people who are in regular contact with nature have more stable immunity and are less prone to stress, depression, and anxiety. Having studied specific natural areas visited by «stress-resistant» individuals, scientists have identified that a key component of the environment that contributes to the health of body and soul is birds. The more birds you see and hear around, the better.

The happiest people are those who can afford to be in nature for most of their lives. Birds are one of the most noticeable and widespread animals in the world, and you hardly fail to see them, even with poor eyesight. Feathered are interesting not only for a wide variety of their shapes and colours, but also for their characteristic voices and behaviours. If you don’t see them, you will definitely hear them. Birdwatching is also an active way of rest: it includes walking, travelling a lot around the country and the world, making new acquaintances. Ukraine has a huge potential for the development of this activity. We have many rivers, lakes, forests, mountains, etc., and the diversity of landscapes is positively reflected in the diversity of birds. There are 433 species in the list of birds of Ukrainian fauna
